The registration process involves a yearly subscription fee, allowing up to six users initially with the option to add more users for a nominal fee. Shops can register up to 100 Autel devices.

Autel automatically provided the necessary software update to all North American market tablets with active software subscriptions starting in June 2020. Users without active subscriptions could purchase a Total Care Program software and warranty renewal through authorized Autel dealers. This ensured that technicians using 2020 Autel Scan Tools had the necessary capabilities to service FCA vehicles equipped with the SGW.
