Important Announcement: EASE Diagnostics PC Scan Tool Sales to Wind Down

For Immediate Release

The automotive diagnostic community is being informed of a significant change regarding Ease Diagnostics Pc Scan Tools. Directed by its Board of Directors, EASE has made the decision to wind down the sales of its diagnostic and emissions equipment, with a final sales date set for September 30, 2018.

Effective October 1, 2018, EASE will merge operations with DENSO Products & Services Americas, Inc. This merger brings about immediate changes impacting the availability and support of EASE diagnostic products.

Specifically, EASE has ceased the sale of all diagnostic tools and related software. This includes the EASE Scan Tool, Reprogrammer, and QuikCode systems. Furthermore, customers should be aware that there will be no future software updates for any EASE diagnostic software, including the scan tool software and reprogramming assistant.

For users of Scan Tool Versions 10 through X3, your existing scan tool software will continue to function provided that obd2.com and associated URLs remain active. Current plans are to maintain these sites for a period of two years. Post this period, while your installed scan tool software may still operate, refreshing your license will result in tool deactivation. To prevent unintended deactivation after the site shutdown, an update is available for download at obd2.com/update.htm. This update ensures all currently unlocked features will remain accessible.

Access to Ford Secure Controls via EASE tools has been discontinued immediately. The Reprogramming Assistant software will continue to work with your current installation but cannot be reinstalled on a new PC.

EASE/DENSO remains committed to fulfilling ongoing warranty obligations for existing customers. Beyond warranty claims, a limited inventory of items such as vehicle interfaces and cables will be available for purchase from EASE until September 26, 2018, while supplies last. Please note all sales are final, with no returns or refunds, and full payment is required at the time of purchase.
