This document outlines the terms and conditions for using the Canon Imagerunner Advance C3525i Iii Scan Tool software. By downloading and using this software, you agree to be bound by the following provisions.
Software License Grant and Restrictions
Canon grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C3525i III scan tool software solely for its intended purpose. You may not:
- Transfer or Sublicense: Assign, sublicense, sell, rent, lease, loan, convey, or otherwise transfer the software to any third party.
- Copy or Duplicate: Copy, duplicate, translate, or convert the software to another programming language, except as explicitly permitted.
- Reverse Engineer: Alter, modify, disassemble, decompile, or reverse engineer the software, or allow any third party to do so.
- Modify Copyright Notice: Modify, remove, or delete any Canon copyright notice within the software.
This license does not grant you any ownership or intellectual property rights in the software. All rights, title, and interest remain with Canon.
Export Restrictions
You agree to comply with all applicable export control laws and regulations and will not export or re-export the software in violation of these laws.
No Support or Updates
Canon, its subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, and dealers are not responsible for providing support, maintenance, updates, or bug fixes for this software. The software is provided “as is.”
Disclaimer of Warranties
Canon provides the Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C3525i III scan tool software “as is” without any express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. You assume all risks related to the quality and performance of the software. If the software proves defective, you are solely responsible for all necessary servicing, repair, or correction costs.
Canon does not guarantee that the software will meet your specific requirements or that its operation will be uninterrupted or error-free. Canon disclaims all liability for any damages, including lost profits, business interruption, or consequential damages, arising from the use or inability to use the software.
Term and Termination
This agreement is effective upon your acceptance of these terms and conditions. You can terminate the agreement by deleting the software. The agreement will also terminate if you breach any of its terms. Upon termination, you must promptly delete the software.
U.S. Government Restricted Rights
The software is a “commercial item” as defined in 48 C.F.R. 2.101 and subject to the restricted rights provisions of 48 C.F.R. 12.212 and 48 C.F.R. 227.7202-1 through 227.7202-4. U.S. Government End Users acquire the software with only those rights set forth herein.
Severability
If any provision of this agreement is found to be illegal or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed null and void, but the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between you and Canon regarding the software and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications. No amendment to this agreement will be effective unless signed by an authorized representative of Canon. By downloading and using the software, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
