I’ve been using a budget-friendly Autel AL319 OBD2 code reader for a while now. Recently, it flagged a P0300 code – random multiple misfires. While it confirmed the misfire, pinpointing the exact cylinder was beyond its capability. A dealership visit and a hefty $300 bill later, they identified cylinder 2 as the culprit and replaced a spark plug.

Being a hands-on car enthusiast who enjoys DIY maintenance on my vehicles, this experience highlighted the limitations of my current tool. I’m now looking to invest in a more advanced diagnostic tool that offers deeper insights, especially for my Camaro ZL1.
