This guide compiles VCDS modifications for the Seat Leon, gathered from Seatcupra.net users JsyCuPrA (Kev) and Phillips1795 (Zach). It details successful adaptations, along with those that proved challenging or unnecessary. Remember to perform an auto-scan and save your original coding before making any changes. We are not responsible for any issues arising from these modifications.
Performing an Auto-Scan: A Crucial First Step
Before diving into modifications, a preliminary auto-scan is essential:
-
Ensure your computer is powered on, with VCDS closed.
-
Connect the VCDS cable to your computer’s USB port.
-
Connect the cable to your car’s OBD-II port.
-
Turn the ignition on.
-
Launch the VCDS software.
-
Click “Auto-Scan.”
-
Save the scan with detailed information to preserve your original coding.
-
Clear any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) if found. VCDS will automatically re-scan.
