The UK’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) recently announced the recipients of the Vice Chief of Defence Staff (VCDS) Commendation for 2022, acknowledging outstanding contributions to defense and security. VCDS Commendation for Collaborative Projects
The VCDS Commendation recognized the Strategic Partnering Agreement Team, a collaborative effort led by Dstl, encompassing the Ministry of Defence (MOD), Air Command, Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), and industry partners like Leonardo. This team’s innovative approach revolutionized the development, delivery, and support of critical air survivability solutions. Furthermore, nine Dstl scientists received the VCDS Commendation for their contributions to the Transport Risk Assessment for COVID Knowledge (TRACK) Team. Their tireless efforts in developing models to assess COVID-19 risks on transport systems were crucial in informing public health strategies.
