VCDS Ross-Tech Audi 2018 Q7 Inspection Reset

Resetting the service inspection reminder on your 2018 Audi Q7 can be easily done using VCDS (formerly VAG-COM) by Ross-Tech. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for resetting the oil service, service mileage, and service time intervals.

Using the latest version of VCDS, simply click the “SRI Reset” button. The software will automatically detect and apply the correct reset parameters for your Q7. For detailed information on the SRI Reset function, refer to Ross-Tech’s official documentation.

For those using older versions of VCDS (pre-2009), the process involves manual adaptation channel adjustments:

Manual Reset Procedure for Older VCDS Versions (Pre-2009)

Models between 1998 and 2008:

  1. Select: Go to “17 – Instruments”.
  2. Adaptation: Choose “Adaptation – 10”.
  3. Channel 02: Enter “02” in the channel field.
  4. Read: Read the current “Stored Value”.
  5. New Value: Enter “0” (zero) as the new value.
  6. Test & Save: Click “Test” then “Save” to confirm the reset.

Note: After resetting, the service interval display may show “–/–” until you’ve driven a certain distance. This is normal.

Pre-1998 Models or if Channel 02 is Unavailable:

Use the following adaptation channels and corresponding values:

  • Channel 05 (Oil Service): Enter the desired oil service interval in thousands of kilometers. For example, for 5000 miles (8000 km), enter “8”. The US standard is “12” (7500 miles).
  • Channel 06 (Inspection Service – In-1): Enter the desired distance interval for the In-1 service in thousands of kilometers. The US standard is “24” (15,000 miles).
  • Channel 07 (Time-Based In-1): Enter the desired time interval for the In-1 service in tens of days. The US standard is “36” (360 days).
  • Channel 08 (Time-Based In-2): Enter the desired time interval for the In-2 service in tens of days. The US standard is “72” (720 days).

Important Note: Ross-Tech recommends using the latest VCDS version for the most accurate and efficient service reset. These instructions are provided as a guide only, and any modifications are made at your own risk. Always consult official Ross-Tech documentation for the most up-to-date information. For VW vehicles (non-US market), refer to the specific VW SRI documentation on the Ross-Tech website.
