Important Notice: Discontinuation of EASE Scan Tool Software Sales and Updates

This is to inform our valued customers that EASE has made the strategic decision to wind down the sales of its diagnostic and emissions equipment. This action, directed by our Board of Directors, will be completed by September 30, 2018.

Effective October 1, 2018, EASE will officially merge with DENSO Products & Services Americas, Inc. As a direct consequence of this merger, we are making the following changes effective immediately:

  • Cessation of Diagnostic Tool and Software Sales: EASE will no longer sell any diagnostic tools or related software. This includes, but is not limited to, the Ease Scan Tool Software, Reprogrammer, and QuikCode. Sales have stopped immediately.
  • No Future Software Updates: All development and updates for diagnostic software have been discontinued. This means there will be no future updates for the ease scan tool software or the reprogramming assistant software.
  • Continued Operation for Existing Scan Tool Software (Versions 10 – X3): If you are a current user of Scan Tool Versions 10 through X3, your ease scan tool software will continue to function as long as obd2.com and associated URLs remain active. We currently plan to maintain these sites for two years.
  • Post Website Removal Functionality and Important Update: After the aforementioned websites are taken offline, your ease scan tool software will still operate. However, it is critical to note that refreshing your software license after this point will result in your scan tool being disabled. To prevent this, we have released a vital update available for download at obd2.com/update.htm. This update will ensure all previously unlocked features remain accessible. We strongly recommend downloading and installing this update to preserve the functionality of your ease scan tool software.
  • Immediate Expiration of Ford Secure Controls Access: Access to Ford Secure Controls has been terminated immediately.
  • Reprogramming Assistant Software: The Reprogramming Assistant software will continue to work with your current PC installation. However, it is important to understand that it cannot be reinstalled on a different computer should you need to change systems.

EASE and DENSO will remain committed to fulfilling all existing warranty obligations. For needs outside of warranty claims, we are offering a limited sale of remaining stock, such as vehicle interfaces and cables, until September 26, 2018. Please note that all sales of these items are final, with no returns or refunds accepted, and full payment is required at the time of purchase.

We understand this news may cause disruption, and we appreciate your understanding during this transition period as EASE merges with DENSO. We encourage users of ease scan tool software to download the provided update to ensure continued use of their tools.
