Effortlessly Digitize Documents with an Online Scanning Tool

Document photos can be easily transformed into scanned documents (removing gray backgrounds) in just four simple steps: Uploading, cropping, adjusting, and downloading. This guide will walk you through using our Online Scanning Tool to achieve crisp, clean digital copies of your documents from photos.

Step 1: Upload Your Document Photo

To begin, you need to upload the photo of your document to our online scanning tool. You have two convenient options:

  1. Upload from File: Click on the gallery icon to browse your device’s files and select the document photo you wish to upload.
  2. Take a Photo: Alternatively, click the camera button to directly capture a photo of your document using your device’s camera. This option is perfect for quick scans on the go.

Step 2: Adjust and Crop Your Document Photo for Optimal Scanning

Once your image is uploaded, our online scanning tool intelligently presents cropping tools to refine your document photo.

  1. Define the Crop Area: Our online scanning tool automatically detects the document’s edges within the photo. If the corners aren’t perfectly aligned, simply adjust the circular handles on the image to precisely define the document area you want to scan. This ensures that only the document is processed, eliminating any unnecessary background.

  2. Rotate: If your document photo is not oriented correctly, use the rotate button to rotate the image to the proper upright position before scanning.

  3. Adjust Brightness and Contrast: For enhanced scan quality, click the adjust button to fine-tune the brightness and contrast of your document photo. Making these minor adjustments at this stage can significantly improve the final scanned output.

  4. Zoom: Need a closer look? The zoom button allows you to zoom in and out of your document photo. Use the blue scroll bars to navigate around the zoomed image and ensure accurate cropping and adjustments.

  5. Fit to Image (No Crop): If your photo contains only the document page and you prefer not to crop, click the fit button. This will use the entire image area for scanning. Click it again to revert to cropping mode.

  6. Crop and Proceed: After making all necessary adjustments, click the crop button to finalize your selection and move to the next step of the online scanning process.

Step 3: Enhance, Organize, and Download Your Scanned Document

After cropping, your document photo is scanned, and our online scanning tool provides additional features to further refine your document, manage multiple pages, and prepare it for download.

  1. Add More Pages: To create multi-page scanned documents, simply click the “Add” button to upload and scan additional document photos. This is ideal for compiling reports, contracts, or any document spanning multiple pages.

  2. Delete Pages: If you need to remove a page from your scanned document, select the page and click the “Delete” button. This will remove the currently selected page.

  3. Zoom for Detailed Editing: The zoom function remains available in this step, particularly useful when using annotation tools like the highlighter or eraser for precise edits.

  4. Scanning Effects: Customize the look of your scanned document by applying different scanning effects. Click the “Effects” button and choose from various options to optimize readability or achieve a specific visual style. Effects are applied to the currently selected page, with “Super scan” being the default and applied to all pages.

  5. Annotation Tools: Our online scanning tool includes a suite of annotation tools for highlighting and editing text directly within your scanned document. Access these tools by clicking the “Tools” menu.

    1. Highlighter Tool: Emphasize key information within your document using the highlighter tool.
    2. Pen Tool: Use the pen tool to draw, annotate, or add signatures directly onto the document.
    3. Color and Size Options: Choose from four different colors for both the highlighter and pen tools. Adjust the size of the highlighter, pen, eraser, and repaint tools for precise editing.
    4. Eraser Tool: Remove unwanted text or markings from your scanned document with the eraser tool.
    5. Repaint Tool: Restore erased or highlighted text to its original state using the repaint tool.
  6. Page Setup: Configure the output PDF page size, layout, and margins by clicking the “Page Setup” button. This ensures your scanned document is formatted to your exact requirements.

  7. Rearrange Pages: To reorder the pages of your scanned document, simply drag and drop the page previews in the sidebar to your desired sequence.

  8. Download Your Scanned Document: Once you are satisfied with your scanned document, click the download button to save it. You have three download options: JPG, PNG, and PDF. Choosing JPG or PNG will download the currently selected page as an image file. Selecting PDF will download all pages of your scanned document in a single PDF file, applying your chosen page setup.

With our online scanning tool, digitizing your documents from photos is a breeze. Experience the convenience and efficiency of transforming images into high-quality scanned documents online.
