As a valued customer of EASE diagnostic tools, we are writing to inform you of significant changes regarding the future of our product line. EASE, under the direction of its Board of Directors, will be winding down the sales of its diagnostic and emissions equipment, effective September 30, 2018. This decision comes as EASE is set to merge with DENSO Products & Services Americas, Inc. on October 1, 2018.
This merger will bring about important changes that will directly affect the availability and support of EASE diagnostic tools, including the Ease X3 Pro Scan Tool. Effective immediately, we are implementing the following measures:
- Cessation of Sales: EASE has stopped all sales of diagnostic tools and related software. This includes the EASE Scan Tool, Reprogrammer, QuikCode, and specifically the EASE X3 Pro Scan Tool. No new purchases can be made for these products.
- No Further Software Updates: Development and release of updates for all diagnostic software, including those for the scan tools and reprogramming assistant, have been discontinued. This means your EASE X3 Pro Scan Tool will not receive any future software enhancements or updates.
- Continued Operation for Scan Tool Versions 10 – X3 Customers: If you are a user of Scan Tool Versions 10 through X3, including the EASE X3 Pro Scan Tool, your current software will continue to function. This is contingent on the continued activity of obd2.com and associated URLs, which we plan to maintain for two years.
- License Refresh and Update for Continued Use: Your EASE X3 Pro Scan Tool software will technically work even after the aforementioned websites are deactivated. However, attempting to refresh your license after that point will result in your scan tool being disabled. To prevent this, we strongly advise downloading a crucial update available at obd2.com/update.htm. Applying this update will ensure that all features you have already unlocked on your EASE X3 Pro Scan Tool will remain accessible.
- Immediate Expiration of Ford Secure Controls Access: Access to Ford Secure Controls through EASE tools has been terminated immediately.
- Reprogramming Assistant Software Functionality: The Reprogramming Assistant software you currently have installed will continue to operate. However, please note that it cannot be reinstalled on a different PC should you need to change your hardware.
EASE/DENSO remains committed to fulfilling existing warranty obligations. For concerns related to warranty issues, support will continue to be provided. Additionally, customers interested in purchasing from EASE’s remaining inventory of items such as vehicle interfaces and cables can do so until September 26, 2018, subject to availability. Please be aware that all sales from this limited stock are final, with no returns or refunds accepted, and full payment is required at the time of purchase.
